Another broken AC

I noticed a few other threads regarding A/C issues. No cool air, recharge provided only temporary relief so I expect the evaporator to be the cause. Too bad the dash has to be removed to install a 300-400$ part. Rattle-free now and hope to remain that way.

I believe it require the front dash to be removed to access the evaporator; a full day warranty job.

Dash removal is not something I'd personally take lightly. I don't use my AC (even in 100F SC weather), windows down all the time.

To heck with it, I'll enjoy the sound the S65 makes in the scorching heat

That's it! They did a good job of reassembly. No rattles now or since.

Wow, i just got back from picking up the car. Evaporator, and compressor were both bad and replaced under warranty. Dealer also managed to scratch the trim piece next to the Idrive and will be replacing it for free.
