Les Schwab Michelin PSS

I went to Les Schwab today to see how much a Michelin PSS staggered setup (245/35-19 & 265/35-19) would cost. I was blown away when they quoted over $650 per tire, plus $25 per tire to install.

Based on previous threads these tires seem to be very popular. Are you guys really paying these prices?

He tried to convince me that the Toyo Proxes T1 is comparable and be half the price.

Since you can get them from tirerack.com shipped and installed for less than half that price, I'm sure not many people are paying that. Les Schwab is a rip off....

I paid $300+tax each for PSS's 275/35/19. That's just for the tire not including install.

I paid $1200 for my tires. $200 to swap TPM sensors to new wheels, mount and balance. That quote is insane.

Les Schwab is a joke of a tire store. That price is probably because they don't stock it at all and would have a hard time getting it. Go through Tire Rack, Discount Tire or Performance Tread.

Sounds like they should change their name to Mor Schwab

That's insane. I paid about 365 apiece (including mounting/balancing) for the 265/40/18 PSSs at THE DEALER. Les whoever-that-is is nearly doubling the dealer cost. Hell, I only paid 575 a tire installed on 285/35/19 PS2 ZPs a couple weeks ago.

Their prices are outrageous.

Thats crazy on the prices. I have seen Les Schwab prices similar to tirerack to ridiculous. They will always try to sell you Toyo over most other tires.

Do you mind sharing what store? I'm going to be running the exact same tire set up.
