Well guys, thinking about an ML63 AMG.
Not to replace my 335i. Getting ready to part ways with the E-class (lease almost up).
What do you think? There is a pretty good discount on it too. 0-60 in 4.8 seconds. 503hp, 465tq. |

I think they're ridiculous. In a bad way. I don't see the point of having a "sport" SUV. An ML550 or ZSP X5 is at the border of being sane imo. Why not just get a new E Class?

Plus, I really do not like the look of the X-bimmers. The base ML is pretty bland in the styling department, and when I saw the ML63 in the showroom it was just absolutely stunning. Don't want another E-class, especially with the re-design imminent. |

That GTS is only gonna be 69k!!? That's a good deal for a Porsche, especially for that level of a model. Ooookaaay...I guess that is an SUV I'd go for.

The GTS isn't as fast as the Turbo (or the S either if I'm not mistaken). Not that you would buy it to go fast

Thanks man. I love the look as well. I am pretty sure I am going to pull the trigger on this.

I don't know if I agree about the not needing a "performance suv" part though. BMW is coming out with the X6, how do you feel about that car? |

GTS is in the middle of no where. The only Cayenne worth getting is the bad asss Twin Turbo version, or I would live with the ML AMG happily. Strange that X5 and X6 don't have Motosports performance versions...

I wouldn't get it for a few reasons.
1) X6xDrive50i: pretty damn fast and looks very svelte. Depends what you want out of your SUV. 2) X5 M/Msport/whatever they call it: no time frame for release but could be sick as hell. 3) Cayenne GTS and the new Turbo to follow: Stick in an SUV with 400-500/600ish HP? Sign me up. A good balance between the boxy aggressiveness of the ML and the sex on wheels of the X6. I'd bet it drives better than the ML and probably better than the X6 as well. 4) The ML is fucking expensive. Fuck dude get an M5. Seats 5 and fast as a motherfucking Saturn 5 turned on it's side. Pulley + ECU + exhaust and you've got the meanest sounding, fastest thing you'll ever drive. (Faster than an F430 at high speed and a 997 Turbo at lower speeds) 5) See 4. 6) See 5.

I'm sure it's great - I used to have an ML500 - but ML reliability was in the pits. For paying so much, you would assume it wouldn't squeak, rattle, and squeal so damn much. Plus not to mention all sorts of electronic issues. I was happy to get out of that lease - but the engine was sooo nice... I can only imagine what another 200+ hp does to an ML!!
