Lower is not always better

here is a good video explaining why going to low can make the car handle worse

you would be suprised how many on here think lower makes the car handle the best and always slam dinan for only being 1/2 inch lower instead of 1 inch or more like the other spring companies

I am no race car engineer, so I always like to look at what real M3 race cars do. These race cars have different springs and shocks obviously, but they retain stock subframes and suspension arms due to class restrictions.

As you can see in the pictures below, none of them are "slammed" by any means. Most of them are lowered 0.5-1.0" max

I remember back in the E46 days when everyone was going coilovers and someone posted in a thread about the suspension geometry on the E46, very informative and IIRC it talked about how under compression, the camber was actually off when the car is slammed etc.
I spent months trying to find that post again but for the life of me I couldn't.

i loved my Dinan JRZ's on my E46 M3, while everyone went with slammed PSS9's and they rode like shit and really didn't handle that much better, my JRZ's were more comfortable then stock and handled ten times better

Any word if Dinan will be offering a JRZ combo again.

oh man i wish, if they do i will be all over it again, i really can't tell you how much i enjoyed them in my old M3.

so far i just see the spring replacement and then the anti roll and camber plate upgrades. i spoke with a tech and said that the shocks were pretty good as is and with the different springs really helps alot but they would look into other options also. so as of now i am guessing no but can't stop me from hoping lol

JRZ's are probably up there with Ohlins and Motons in terms of quality coilovers.

IMO, 0.5" lowering on the e9X M3 is perfect for a car that is a DD and occasionally track driven.
I don't think you can really compare it to the e46 M3 because the E9X M3 is much better sorted out of the box.

There are a lot of very good posters for the E46 M3 on other boards. It could hae even been LeMans.

Won't happen since most cars have EDC now.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

We've discussed that on this board as well.

I see. Couldn't really make out the stickers, plus they are backwards.
