SC M3... What next?

Hi my fellow SC owners...

So I have a 440-490rwhp M3 with 2.5 Gintani (around 7psi), x pipes (catless) and Inconnel performance exhaust.

Car is tuned well and great for daily driving.

So the question... Are there any cheap bang for buck options left for another sneaky 50hp or so? I don't want to go crazy.. But 50 more would be nice.

I started another thread on ethonal but without tuning capabilities its a bit of a crap shoot (no flex fuel support).

Not looking at a LC build (yet), heard diffs are a waste of time.. Read about the worlds fastest m3 and the gains from headers.. But with only 2.5' x pipes and low HP in comparison I doubt I'd see 40hp there as that car did... What else is there?

Does Gintani offer a smaller pulley to up the boost? if so, that might be your ticket.

add more psi, 10 is pushing it, but 8.5-9 with proper octane and tuning should be safe for a long time. Many people are running it with no problems. That should be right about 35-45hp you are looking for. The guy running 10 psi is asking for trouble whether he knows it yet or not.

Also, power is worthless with out a transmission that can handle it. you may want to address that first

Well I should add... I've already cracked a block and had to replace a motor so adding more PSI makes my sphincter pucker a little. We have good fuel over here 98 Ron everywhere, but I was hoping for something with less stress..

I have another thread on transmission if you have any advice

in my opinion i'd try a pulley change for more boost and race gas.
you would be surprised what a different diff does in torque feel.
headers would be last step

440-490 sounds like you have dyno'd on a Mustang dyno. Go find a dynojet and you will pick up 40 HP

e85 is a cheap alternative, i'm posting about real VP or similar racing fuel (100 unleaded). i'm not sure how 98RON is similar to our rating but the computer will pick up a little timing with race fuel. i think it's a diminishing return after 100 octane.

i would stay with less than 9psi unless you were constantly on race fuel.

That would be the cheapest, quickest and safest way to pick up 40hp without stressing the engine

Turn off traction control and you'll feel like you gained another 200hp.

Upgrade to Gintani Stage 2+ kit. My buddy Lucas has it and it's the amount of power it makes is insane!

Reduce weight. Get rid of sub woofers, go lighter forged rims in 18 x 10, pulley upgrade. Add a little bit of corn juice to the tank.

So I hear..
Boost raised from 7.5 PSI to 8.5 PSI and they add a methanol injection kit (heard it's best to get the alky kit versus AEM, comes with a way better meth pump and steel braided lines). Your car will spit flames after like my buddies during shifts. So awesome!!!

490whp for a Stage 2 is a very low reading. I made 566whp on 7.5psi on pump and currently looking into running 9psi with a meth set up. Hoping for a consistent 600whp pull after all said and done.

He is basing this off of a mustang dyno Vs your DJ (or equivalent).

This platform is limited. You'll need to go into the motor or buy a faster car.
