FS: Almost new Gintani Sport mufflers

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
SOLD

Looks like I may end up selling the Gintani Sport mufflers I just installed on my car. I am running them with Fabspeed high flow cats and resonated x-pipe and they are still a bit too loud for my taste. I used to love loud exhausts but the older I have gotten the quieter I prefer. These are about 30% quieter than the Eisenmann Race though they have MUCH less drone on the freeway. I paid $1850 for these from Gintani (msrp is $2000 plus shipping). They have only around 250 miles on them. I will not reply to any lowball offers. They are currently on the car and will be taken off once I have a buyer.

I am asking $1600 OBO plus shipping plus paypal fees if paying by paypal. I will not reply to lowball offers. Will post pics over the weekend. Willing to do a trade for Dinan mufflers as well.

I have heard from some members that the Bastuck muffler does not have a nice tone to it. I dunno if that is true or not though.

sounds like they would be perfect for someone that's just going to have a rear section only huh? But, too loud when combined w/HFC's and midpipe?

For those of us that like a quieter exhaust, yes.

You know that's all relative. You seem to like a similar sound as me since you're not looking for a loud exhaust. The Bastuck should match very well with your HFC midpipe if you're not looking for a louder exhaust.

He has an X-pipe, so it'll give a little more volume and the best part about the Bastuck is there's no drone at all.

You should wait a little longer before selling the exhaust... It does quiet down.. if not, Good luck on the sale.

250 miles on it isn't enough to break it in. The volume may not change, but the tone will slightly and that does affect drone.

I have 2 questions:
- Is this good for coupe only?
- Does it come with connecting pipes?

Thanks...

Works on coupe and cabrio. Would fit on the sedan as well but tips will stick out an extra inch or two (though on my coupe I find the tips do not stick out as much as the Eisenmann Race I had before, so I think the Gintani tips will not stick out that much on a sedan). It does have connecting pipes.

With original mufflers, it's still pretty loud IMO. I heard it in person and it seemed louder than most aftermarket mufflers out there.

I maybe interested in the Gintani Sport but like you am thinking to do a set up of HFC and an Xpipe...but worried about how loud it would be with the Gintani Muffler.
Would prefer to hear it in person

full xpipe with OEM mufflers = loud when on the gas but quiet/no drone when cruising or off the throttle.

The quality of sound/type of sound it produces usually isn't that great. My experience, it sounds like a trumpet and you floor it
