08' 5speed M3 hard start---RESOLVED!!

As the title says....finished my motor swap and all is well except a hard start ONLY when cold, once it is warmed up it is fine, starts first time, every time.

When cold it will start up and immediately die, it could take anywhere between 3-20 times to start and once it does it runs GREAT, no codes, nothing....any help is greatly appreciated as this one has me baffled.....

Can you give us some background on your motor swap? Is this a used engine? Why did the old engine die? what exactly reuse from the old engine?

It was a full replacement used engine from a 46k 2011 vert that had been hit in the side. The motor was complete, pulled the old one, dropped in the new one. My 80k motor spun a rod......
