Plus the catback can be installed with a floor jack and just a couple of tools.
Just ordered up a megan racing system last night, less hassle and time spent pissing around with the OEM one. Hopefully will get it by the weekend. Guess you were right after all man. :-)

Sure, here it is (its on their site anyway). steveo@driversource.com

But he never did get back to me to schedule etc, maybe its not worth their time doing something like this? After all the shop is a business and has got to make money too which is understandable... But let us know how you get on anyway??

myself and a friend of mine both tried to get in touch with steve with the full intention of getting work done there in the recent past. We both had similar experiences the same as you did, no response...we attempted both email and phone contact...?

Anyway, good luck with the Megan exhaust, please be sure to post pics and vids!!!!

I never tried calling too, probably should have actually.

And Cheers, looking forward to the Megan arriving. Fedex says Delivery on Friday. But one final hurdle, go buy jack stands and fit it myself or get a local muffler place to do it? Anyone know how long it will take to get it fitted properly, any possible issues to look out for etc while fitting it??

There is plenty of info on the forum on how to do this and the process is simple. If you have never lifted a car onto stands and don't feel comfortable doing so then just play it safe and take it to a shop.

If you decide to DIY then I have a few tips. Use Anti-Seize on the bolts and clamps when you re-install them. You should also use some Anti-Seize or WD-40 on the red hangers to make them easier to remove and install.

Don't jack the car from the cooling fins on the diff! I use two jacks at the jack points on either side of the car and then jack stands under the center support (large black brace) just in case my jacks fail. There are other ways to do this so take a look in the DIY section.

You also might consider taping some rags around the exhaust tips of the old and new system so that you don't scratch your paint while you maneuver the system off and on.

Lastly - Wipe the entire system down with WD-40 when you're done and before you start the car. This is mostly for titanium systems but it won't hurt.

Yea, the stand thing kind of worries me a little to be honest... So F@ckit will probably just take it to a local shop. Not worth the risk of screwing something up. You got a Megan system fitted?

Nice!! Thanks for the help man. If you see an Interlagos blue (Not sure if there are many?) driving around H-Town with MMM 03 plate say hello. :-)

Sounds good!

I've seen your car once at market street but other than that I only really see a white E93 with a blond female driving on woodlands parkway.

I seen the white E93 on woodlands parkway a couple of weeks ago but I think a guy was driving it that time, was in front and turned into one of the neighbor hoods as I caught up. The wife mentioned she was behind a black E92 that sounded bad ass recently (shes got a 2011 WRX hatch) so I'm guessing there are a few in the area.

LOL! Just asked her and showed her the picture. She mumbled something about black color on Woodlands parkway/kuikendahl and continued her knitting...

Oh man, youre missing out. We have a couple excellent tracks super close by: TWS (Texas World Speedway) and MSR Houston. Plus, in Austin there's Harris Hill Road. Closer to Dallas there's Eagles Canyon and MSR Cresson.

And with a little luck - a new F1 track pretty soon...
