Pic Request: Show me your license plate frame
I'm having trouble deciding on a license plate frame so I figured I would open it up to the General Topicers.
Extra points for posting the "BMW Performance" or "Carbon Fiber Slim Line" frames. Ready, set, post. |

I bought a real carbon fiber plate frame on ebay for like $35-40 and love it! matches my roof and spoiler perfectly.

www.autoplates.com has a decent selection of plate frames, but no carbon fiber.
Last year I ordered one of the zinc plates http://www.autoplates.com/store/cust...FrameZinc.html for my wife's new toy car -- 500 Abarth. She opted to have some words laser cut into the frame. See pic below.

I keep thinking of getting a chrome one made with "The Last of the V-8 Interceptors" but I don't use a frame, and I guess I don't really want one either since I never actually order one.

Do I actually want a plate frame? If so, wouldn't I have one already? I'm leaning toward the white "BMW Performance" frame. Silly details make for silly threads! |

it was really just a ham-handed excuse to get the Mad Max reference out there...

I know this isn't on my M3, but I think it is cool so I'm posting it anyway. Back story is that a buddy of mine who is a pilot and owned the same single engine piston airplane that I have really wanted to upgrade to an Eclipse light jet. His wife got him this plate frame custom made. Well a year ago he finally bought his eclipse and since he knows I want one badly as well he sent me the license plate frame which I mounted. I'm hoping I get to give it away to the next aspiring Eclipse owner soon...

It's washed out in the sunlight but I have the CF "BMW Performance" frame.
Nice and light
