Ordered 2011 E90 M3?
A couple of weeks back I finally ordered my new E90 M3
(Jerez Black, Black Novillo, MT, Audiophile, 19's, EDC) The day after purchasing BMW called me noting I would be getting a 2011 M3? delivered in April... I am curious why they are moving to the 2011 model so early in the year, there are a few 2009's still on the lots, I wonder if many 2010s were in production. Does anyone have any thoughts on why? ....or know when the E90 chasis is scheduled to be replaced for the M? Thank you....and counting down to April. |

The upgrades are going to be on the 2011s, not the 2010s. So they are cutting the 2010 production short and starting the 2011 early.
Congrats.

Congrats on the new car and welcome!
There are a few other members that are in same boat as you and getting a 2011 instead of the 2010 they thought they ordered. |

Congrats on the new car!
Just wondering as I am going to be ordering my car in a few months. You say you ordered a few weeks back, but wont get the car till April. Thats like 4 months from order to delivery. Is that normal? When my dad ordered his 3 months ago, he got his in about 2 months. D |

Congrats!
Isn't the E90 M3 already LCI and upgraded though? ..Maybe they have to switch over the e92/e93 and e90 to the 2011 production run at the same time? This makes me curious... Will there be any power upgrades for LCI possibly?! I recall with the e36 M3 for LCI they booted the engine up a little bit. |

Everyone, thanks.
On the delivery time I am told the timing is dependent on the production dates, i.e. if your order is close to a production time your car will not take long. I would imagine if you get an allotment for the March production your car will arrive about the same time. The M's are not in production all of the time like a 3 Series. I am not aware of any LCI changes to date nor have I seen any photos, I am hoping they are all positive and relatively minor......not keen on buying sight unseen, but HP/TQ upgrades are welcome! Any updates are appreciated! |

Haha All I know is that if they change the E90 M3 AGAIN (just changed in 09), my friend with his 2008 E90 M3 will be PISSED . He was mad enough when I told him they were changing it 1 year after he bought it.
