Deferred Allocation

FYI. I was called by my dealer today and asked if I wanted the M3 sedan that I am holding. They received allocation for 3 coupe and 1 sedan for two dealerships in central Utah for February. At this time I have declined and will see if DCT comes later in the year as predicted.

By the way, they have the Dinan flash which is supposed to give 381 whp and 421 ft.lb torque to my 335. It is $2,000 and does not void my warranty. I am tempted to try it out...

Wow, first I think we have heard of sedan allocations. So, they are taking orders for sedans and coupes with still no pricing...

Yes... I was very frustrated. The dealer thought that a fully loaded sedan would run for $75K + tax, licensing, etc. I have set aside enough money to pay a lease forward, but I don't know the residual, money factor, or interest rate. I have been told that the residaul and interest will be higher than BMW's base models because of demand. So, I decided that I will wait and buy when I know all of the facts. I also have a feeling that the DCT will be available in May. I would kick myself in the ass if I didn't wait to have this option.

75+ tax???
They are crazy or very wrong. How will pay 80k for an M3? Specially if you can get a 335 for half the money.

I am very tempted as I said above, to do the Dinan flash on my 335 while I am waiting for the whole M3 thing to settle down. I am actually very satisfied with the 335, but just wanted a car that was a little more flashy.

also considering you could get an m5 for ~5k more... possibly for 1k over invoice which would run 78kish.

I just heard from the dealer that he should have and order car for me shortly... don't know what shortly means, but that's what he said. It's also a sedan.

My 335 (3/4 loaded) was $49,126 + tax, license, etc. Fully loaded would have hit $51,000 + tax, licensing, etc. I think that we will see a loaded M3 for mid $70K. But, I guess we will just need to wait and see.
