carbon package arrived

Little box came to the house this week from germany, installing tomorow  (custom 1x1 weave)

direct replacement for factory part
-saves approx 4 kgs in weight -full pre preg carbon construction ( not a laminate) -improved internal volume and flow characteristics -no reprogramming of ECU required Underside portion is made with the original BMW part to ensure a 100% perfect fit; 75% of the box is 100% pre preg carbon fibre, NOT a laminate. -tested by Bmw grmbl for 4 days as a option for the gtr and approved. -Manufacturar says its gives also a more racy sound but we have to test it for ourselfs

Yes it was a profesional german compagny. NOrmaly they sell it in 2x2 weave but as they are profesionals they offered the 1x1 weave to me as that was my condition to buy it. I want all my carbon pieces in a 1x1 weave as i like that the most.

So about 8lbs of weight savings? How much does the stock unit weigh?

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Please post pics to the unit when it's installed, and if possible, video (audio) of the car before and after the installation to see if there are actually any sound differences.
And for those of us interested, would you mind posting price and link to manufacturer?
