I'm pretty sure most high performance brakes are going to squeak the first thousand miles. I thought and read that it was part of normal operation. I don't think those were carbon ceramic though.

i believe they changed the braking system, it speaks to failure that the dealerships were unable to figure out the problem

I never understood this philosophy at all. All exotics (with the exception of classic cars and a few rare one-off productions) are depreciating assets. They will depreciate whether you race at the track or let it sit in an air-conditioned garage under a cover, tied to a battery charger.

If I fork over $200,000 on a car, you had be damn sure I'm going to drive my money's worth out of it.

Yeah, it probably had ceramics. LOL at his tan, too. His face shines more than the car

I agree. Few things make me happier than seeing a Challenge Stradale or GT2 with 30K+ miles.

Please never buy any exotic. Let REAL people who will use them own them.

OMG! This reminded me of when I had my G35; I was getting an oil change done at Nissan and an older couple returned back with a 350z and said the exhaust is making noise above 3,000 rpm....

That gallardo owner was a superstar...

I don't see anything wrong? Lamborghini had ample opportunity to fix it, and they couldn't. That is the definition of a lemon.

Now he can get an LP560-4.

The fact that they had several people look at the car tells me that there actually was something wrong with it, and they couldn't fix it. That's the very definition of a lemon, and I'm not sure how anyone can fault the guy for exercising that right.

Don't you guys think that if it were simply a matter of the brake compounds being too harsh for the street that they would have just changed to something different rather than buy back a $250k car?

And I agree with you, but I would put a deposit on a Scuderia-like variant. That thing will blow everything out of the water

My 330 would do that all the time. Basically as soon as a traffic light turns green and you let off the brakes it starts to wail like a banshee, right? I took it to the dealer maybe 4 times and it they "couldn't reproduce the sound" or they changed out some brake parts only to have the sound come back 4K miles later. I fixed that by changing the brake pads to a ceramic pad and applying anti-squeal gel while I changing them. I don't remember which kind, but I got it from Advance Autoparts and it was a light red color.

Most high performance breaks aren't quiet. I don't know about you guys but get some nice pads and see for yourself. Brakes with real stopping power generally squeal some.

Ceramics squeal a lot because it's relatively new technology for street use. It has kinks that need to be worked out like anything else that is new, except those on carbos are more noticeable.
