DC metro area sux in regards to M3 new/used selection

I've only been looking for a couple of weeks now but I'm very hard-pressed to find a coupe or sedan, preferably used, in sparkling graphite or space gray on black or gray in the DC metro area. Practically every car I've seen is either black on black or white on red or black. Does this area have no sense of variety whatsoever? Also, the prices are high compared to FL, CA, and TX.

So, has anyone bought a car out-of-state without looking at it in person and had it transported? I'm very wary about doing this but the selection in my area just isn't there.

we just arent selling our m3s thats all and yes most guys in the area have aw/fr combo but then again i wouldnt think there are many used m3s around anyways. These cars are great so why would anyone sell theirs unless theyve lost their minds! AS for buying out of state and getting it shipped here alot of people do it just have someone else from the board or someone you know check it out.

i have never bought a car from in state (I live in VA
my first car was from MD, then PA or my '88 M3, the NC for my Audi, then my 2008 M3 was from buffalo NY
cheaper and the dealers here suck!
i flew to buffalo for $300 one way and drove back
see if you can find any 2008s or 2009s somewhere and fly and get it
anywhere on the eastern side of the US and you are good to go
roadtrip!

I bought mine from another state and had it shipped. Worked out great, just be sure you are buying from a reputable dealer and be sure that you use a reputable transport company if you go that route.
