yes i did.... I usually am the same way, but I took a chance hoping I'd like it as much as the Dinan set up but it fell a little short noise wise. On every other aspect is has it beat though

I was always a fan of the Dinan setup, very good stuff.
I don't think I'm gonna switch back, I'm not THAT disappointed. The Akra has it beat in every other way, and its not like it sounds bad either. Just think the Dinan sounds better IMO

This is overated and the funny thing is, Dinan still sounds better with only 2 active pipes vs. 4 for Akra................Phil

After 4 years of ownership I still love my Dinan x pipe paired with the AA Signature axel back. The sound is glorious in my opinion. And no drone. No that I ever cared about it anyways. Always hard having a phone conversation though. People constantly are asking me "what is that sound". For some I answer, just one of the most glorious engines in modern time!

Has anyone paired Dinan mid with Akra rear?

+1 sound is subjective but I would guess most people would Dinan>Akra in terms of sound

Don't get me wrong, the Akra sounds great too but IMO the Dinan set up gets first place. The GT4 system with no resonators is actually still quieter than the Dinan which has 4 resonators. Go figure.....
I am sorry i thought you said the gt4 was still quieter than the dinan.

I have received so many sound compliments since switching to the Dinan rear paired w/ Challenge X. Much deeper than full Challenge and louder than Akra.

No worries, what i was referring to was full akra being quieter than full Dinan. First I had full Dinan, then switched rear for akra but paired with Dinan pipe, then lil bit later replaced dinan pipe for akra gt4

Thanks for clearing that up. I know sound is personal preference but which one of those combo's do you like best. I have full akra evo now and have dinan rear laying around and i am contemplating a dinan mid with akra rear.
