LA brake bedding

I just got a set of stop techs and for those who live in the LA area, where can you go to bed them in properly?

If you can find some abandoned or not often used road where u can take it up to speed and brake a couple of times to get it up to temp you should be ok. I usually do 60-20mph about 10 times then 80-20 ten times.

Been looking. No easy to find long stretches of road like that :/

Yeah, you'd need some countryside roads for that. Not easy in San Francisco either. I have to take it outside of the city in the middle of the night to find something. It was much easier when I lived in Sacramento. Tons of long farm roads around the area.

There really isn't anywhere else nearby that you can safely and properly do it; too high of speeds and too many repetitions needed to do it properly (e.g., Pagid wants 90-50mph and then 110-50mph stops )

The roads leading UP to the tracks are usually straight and empty enough that you could pull it off as well... but I find just progressively braking more and more during the first session on track is enough to bed them perfectly

And if you are using the Stoptech street performance pads on rotors that previously had OEM pads, they are likely fine as-is. Only time I really noticed needing to bed those pads in was on brand new rotors.

Brand new bbk so the rotors are still kind of smooth

In Seal Beach, on Westminster between Seal Beach blvd and Bolsa Chica. It's 2 miles of straight road with a 60mph limit and very little traffic after 9PM. Then, you can go South on Bolsa Chica and there are good stretches down that street and some side streets on the left side.
Not that I would do repeated 70 to 20 stops for my BBK and when my 335 was just about to run out of warranty and the pads were just at the sensors.

.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."
