Just Announced: Special Edition 2011 BMW Frozen Black M3 Coupe for NA Market

Yay! Another "special edition" car that has been done for other markets and is a color that can be ordered. It looks nice as the others do but if I'm going to buy a "special edition" car I want something that truely is special, something that I haven't seen done before....

Every standard M3 color is better than Matte black. All the other special options can be bought for a reasonable price.......accept the red stitching. I think an Individual order would be a better option for most.

... and by the way, there is a very "special edition" M3 at my local dealer: AW with Black (not Extended), with all the packages, the Performance Exhaust, the Edition grills and gills and the Carbon spoiler and splitters.

Just $86,000 and change. Take that Frozen Black!!!

D. You can get your car wrapped to look the same way an won't get raped with dealer mark ups.

PASS !! The Matte paint is getting old, plus all but stitching is currently available, and maybe a good upholster can do this and only 20 units seems to me, that these parts are going to slapped on from long warehouse inventory belonging from some other limited edition.

I am surprised at this. We up here in Canada have had the Frozen Black for almost for a year now and you can order it anytime, so I am not sure where the "limited" number comes form.

The reason theyre only making 20 is because they started making them and realized how retarted the car looked. I would never paint my stock calipers red. Why accentuate something that looks like crap to begin with.

Agreed. Just buy all of the BMW Performance accessories and individual options so that you can look unique and awesome.

The "frozen" finishes are good if you like the look of a dusty black board. I just cannot believe so many BMW enthusiasts actually consider a matte paint job when BMW have some of the best paint colours.

To choose matte over Monte Carlo Blue is frankly blasphemy.

I just don't get why people slobber over these frozen colors - they'll be a mega pain in the ass to maintain - especially a frozen black!!! I have a jerez black and i need to detail it every saturday morning!! I'm a car nut and don't mind doing it but its a serious commitment... plus a clear coated car is much easier to clean then basically a "frozen" color that's really nothing but a base paint minus clear coat.... plus there's no HP increase, no brake upgrades.... bah! .. looks nice in pictures though..

I love Monte Carlo Blue!!

Be on the look out for 2 M3 Convertibles...also special edition before production ends next year. Those also will be limited.
