Weird sound after driving
Hey guys -take a listen to this youtube link. Only had the car about 2 weeks, but first time I've noticed this. It doesn't sound like the normal cool down clicks/ticks that a hot engine will make. It made this sound about every 15-20 seconds, although it wasn't exactly periodic to those increments. It lasted for 45 mins doing this.
Have no idea what the heck this sound is. Thoughts? |

That is normal, it is your rotors cooling down. My car does that too. They are even louder after you have done a spirited driving. So you are good.

Probably brake rotors. They can be pretty loud. I've heard mine clicking with my window down at 130 mph at PIR down the front straight. Sound bounces off the cement wall. But it's not a single click, it's a continuous string of clicks, but that's due to some pretty hot brakes.
In any case, I hear plenty of clicks and pops on mine after I park in the garage, either rotors or exhaust. Can't tell from a video how loud it is, but it's probably nothing to worry about. |
