Baby camera

Hi All,

Has anyone got any experience fitting a baby monitor camera that shows up on the iDrive screen? My baby seat faces backwards for the first 12 months and I thought it would be neat to have a little camera instead of using a mirror setup to keep an eye on her on longer journeys.

I have a 08' E90 M3.

Cheers

If you get one of the media modules that come with the back up camera kits, you could use one of the extra media input sources to add to a camera mounted into the car and it would show up on the screen. I don't have any experience with adding a baby camera, but I do have the back up camera, and do know you can add more inputs.

Thanks for reply. I had a chat to the modmynav people about this and they've come up with a solution. Can you use the input on side of the screen while still having gps or radio on the other and have the sound coming through normally?

Are there any alternatives to the modmynav media module or are they the only option?

I think Alekshop sells a media module. Whichever direction you go, just make sure the camera is attached VERY securely to whatever it's mounted on.
Thanks

good idea. GoPros also have a live preview feature where you can view the camera through your smartphone.
