It sounded really good, not too loud and never rasped out, just V8 sound the entire time. I'm still contemplating putting the Borla rear section back on, the Gintani that's currently on there looks better but doesn't perform as well.

Don't let the forum trick you into thinking that going catless is that loud. IMHO, it's more down to the muffler you pair it with.

I ran catless Borla and it was fine. Currently running catless Eisenmann Race and I didn't even flinch when I started it for the first time. Yet everyone was saying that the car was going to be way too insanely loud (which IMO isn't anywhere near that).

Volume, tone and drone are measured on a personal scale. I didn't think the full Borla was that loud at all. It was even pretty quiet on the dyno. The Gintani Sport made the system even more quiet.
I wouldn't hesitate to go catless again; it's worth the power and with the right rear section (for you) it can be as quiet or as loud as you want

i see i see, i just remember running a catless x with 40 series flowmasters on my old 2002 mustang gt...and it was super duper duper loud i ran it for 15 mins and switched it to a catted x....

im gonna be giving a catless setup a try here soon.

No problem. The key is to leave at least a pair of resonators on.

mabye ill run test pipes and the magnaflow rear sections ive already got.
