i did until i moved out of my loft a while back. wasn't worth the extra price. can shoot anywhere.

well, I gotta say, I'm really impressed by your video work. It's actually a breath of fresh air to see something different than the usual wedding (crap) videos I see. My friends wedding videos might as well have been made by a P&S compared to what you do. Sadly, I'm sure their videographer wasn't cheap either.

i used magic lantern back in the day, before we had manual exposure. i know they have some new tools with it now with the current release, but they don't outweigh (for me) the task of having the files on a card everytime i put a new one in.

yeah, every time you format the card, you have to drop the files back onto the card from your mac/finder. then load the firmware in the camera. with. every. card. you. use.
ugh.

unless they've changed it.

that doesn't sound practical at all.

I just started using that cinevete slider as well. check out this video I did let me know what you think

fun! i want to do a jewish wedding. that venue looks rad, too.
the shots with the non-DSLR jump out at you strangely. and try to keep your shadow out of the edits.
i haven't used my glidecam since i broke my leg in january.

I only shoot with the 5D and 7D, whatever is added is usually not by me which is why it stands out. And yah I know what you mean with the shadows I gotta spend more time on color grading. Most of these are same day edits which is nuts when you're doing the shooting and the editing.
