I have also been considering getting a goPro camera. Do you have any idea upto what speed the mount can support the camera safely?

I'm not sure to be honest. You can always use a permanent mount (camera comes with a bunch of mounting options) or even mount the camera on the inside of your windshield.

The roads were too bumpy to go much faster in a lot of areas. But yea it was more of a cruise.
