Why couldn't BMW have used this Red!
It's called Barbera Red. I just saw a picture set of a e92 3-series posted up and the color is great! I think a M3 in this color would be mind-bogglingly awesome. Here is a quick pic but if you want to see more (as you should) go to this thread for it.

Nice color. Not really red though. Burgundy I'd say. Anyway as far as red goes they should simply should have offered a nice, bright, non-metallic "sports car red". But I guess most series M3s have not come with such a typical red so perhaps I should not expect one now.

My brother-in-law has this color on his 2008 335 convertible. It's definitely a deep burgundy, not really a red. The dealer told me it is one of the worst selling colors for the 3 series.

But you're right, it always seems dirty with a coating of dust on it.

Maybe I just wash my cars more often than you guys, but I loved my M6 in Indy Red. It always looked shiny and it was amazing on a sunny day. I'll post some pics when I get home...

Are you all really sitting there telling me that the picture in the OP is bad? Honestly?

Eww, it looks like a really dark maroon color. I think this color suits big body BMWs like the 7 series better.

Wow, no love for Filthy... I like the color myself, very deep vibrant and metallic as well as unique. That being said I would not buy it myself. Although some "rentals" may have a similar shade it is not the same color.

I like the look. Very deep.
I second, on not personally ordering it. It would definately turn my head though.

I would have thought seriously about ordering that colour for my M3, but Jeremy Clarkson's description of it ("..the colour of a vets forearm") would have finally dissuaded me.

That made me laugh on the inside. I can definitely see him saying that.

Otherwise it is just dull to me. Maybe I need to age more before I appreciate it.
