what a painful game to watch... the OSU v. K-State game was much more exciting. I hope the voters don't think we need a rematch of these two teams for the national championship, because that would be a real travesty.

yeah no offense is usually a pretty hard game to watch... reminds me of last year's Oregon and Auburn championship game... i was waiting for some 'slingin.

i think if OSU wins out they play LSU... don't think stanford is going to move past OSU even if they win out and beat oregon. and, boise st. will never be ranked higher than an unbeaten from the sec, pac, big10, or big 12.

can't wait for next week tho.

I'm getting pissed with all this talk about people in the media/etc. saying the NC should be a rematch of Alabama and LSU. Alabama lost, they had their chance, get over it. In 2006 Ohio State beat Michigan in a much better game than last night 42-39 when they were ranked #1 and #2. Urban Meyer and UF who also had 1 loss against Auburn (who was a two loss team) went on and on about how Michigan got their chance and UF deserved to play in the title game, the whole time forgetting the only reason they won their first national title in 96 was because they got to have a rematch against #1 FSU who beat them in the regular season when they were both ranked #1 and #2. The voters listened to him then, and they should follow the same logic now.

IMO, I don't care what conference you're from or how much you bitch and whine. You had your shot during the regular season and you blew it. It's time for someone else to get a chance. Even if all the other undefeated teams lose, I would take any other 1 loss team over Alabama.

I hate ESPN commentators who are blatantly biased towards an entire conference... "it was a defensive struggle, shutdown defenses", etc... I'm thinking to myself, these two offenses struggled all friggin' night! So many mistakes!

Besides a handful of passes, these quarterbacks were playing crappy all night. You put Luck, Keenum, or Moore in there as quarterback and they would've lit up the scoreboard despite these "amazing defenses". Special teams were horrific for 'bama... the list goes on.

No was was talking about how the Browns and Seahawks game two weeks ago was a game between "two tough defenses, the best in the nation," etc. when the final score was 6-3. They were talking about how the two offenses sucked ass... and they were right.

'bama had multiple opportunities to win the game in regulation. They didn't, and they lost. Their offense, like LSU's, sputtered all game.

agreed.... No Bama in N.C. game would be more than fair but if they go and win the rest of their games I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the Sugar Bowl.

LSU and Bama are hiding ineffective QBs behind a decent running game, conservative offense, and good defense. The standard formula for a Nat'l Championship team.
