Awesome vid. The 1M is a great car but damn that M3 sounds great. No wonder I keep getting pulled over with my akra evo.

This should put all M3 vs 1M discussion to bed. The sound difference alone is enough. If anyone from BMW M division watches this, stop the R&D on the new engine and stroke the S65 and call it day

M3 sounds great. However, my N54 135i with the bmw performance exhaust sounds way better. Perfect tone

Like I said in the same title thread in the 1M forum, the M3 sounds better and in my opinion it sounds better even in its stock form compared to any turbocarged BMW with or without aftermarket exhausts. It is a gloriously sounding machine. The video also demonstrates the more agressive looks of the 1M, front end (or rear) the 1M looks better (read more sporty or aggressive, not necessarily elegant) imho. Both are wonderful cars to drive but with different characters, strengths and weaknesses.

By the way, some of our 1M owners have much better sounding exhausts including Akra Evo + down pipes. This particular one in the video was sounding "hollow".

It's good that everyone likes the M3, makes it easier for those of us who want to get our hands on one of the 750 1M in the states. While the V8 note is beautiful you can't beat the angry swarm of bees sound that the I6 produces. Great video

You can't compare sound from 2 different videos. He used an iPad and was stationary while I had a dedicated mic right next to the exhaust. I'm 99% sure Alek's 1M has the akrapovic downpipes too. Both cars sound amazing in their own right.
