Anyone in Syd with a MCB M3?

Hey Guys,

I'm based in Sydney and trying to finalize colour on a new M3. Does anyone around Sydney happen to have a Monte Carlo Blue car I can take a look at? (Happy to bribe with beer)

I saw one in the dealer briefly but it was sold by the time I went back. Currently tossing up between Monte Carlo Blue, Le Mans Blue and Sapphire black. Just not sure what the MCB will look like out on the road.

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...7#post13030977

Thanks,

Marc

Thanks,

Hi Marc

I have one, and the colour is amazing, changes in different lights. At the time I got mine there were only 3 in Aus as they were an "edition" model
I'd by happy to show mine, but you would have to come to the Goldie (Coolangatta airport)
If I was re ordering it would be the same colour, lots of photos on my Facebook page and a few in the garage list.

Hi Mate
Sorry to hijack the thread for a different subject. You have lowered the car with H&R Sports, I see. If you have EDC how do the H&R complement them?
You have a very aggressive stance and setup. If you may, please share your experience. Thank you.

Sure, the sport is not harsh at all,and I always drive around on the hardest setting with EDC. Potholes are the only time you really feel it but other than that its firmer than stock but very comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this set up and it does stand nicely

I have Sport Plus. Drop is the same, but they are a bit stiffer. Not the most comfortable, but good at the track and EDC settings are still noticeable.

Also your 20" wheels may make the ride a bit harder compared to the 19" wheels.

Yeah you're right! When I swap the 18's on, the ride is so much better!

Living where we do one of the things I've enjoyed most is a sunroof. I have a carbon roof and no matter how much I would like a sunroof the carbon is so outstanding it's not an option to have the sunroof
Contrast is just amazing and I also think any future resale would be in favour of the carbon.
The MCB is not really a bright colour as such, it varies with the light and weather and I can best describe it's a bit like colours in the ocean.
Have a look at some of the videos on my FB channel

OP - Without a doubt - MCB is one of the best colours for an E92 M3 and Dave's is nothing short of spectacular

I say go for the MCB!

Thanks for the kind words. Andrew at Southern BM also has an MCB, he is in Melbourne. Andrew's car is very nice too, it was one of the three (mine is another) MCB Editions brought in 2009

Nice car Andrew,

I wish I could get you guys to work on my car but I'm based in syd, almost tempted to drive it there if i ever go the ESS kit.

I'm in Melbourne in 2 weeks so I might even drop in and check out the shop if I get a chance.

Love the youtube vids BTW!

DaveDee, I love the carbon look but I might be the first MCB with a sunroof. I'm not sure if anyone has done this yet and I cant seem to find a pic of one
