Sure thing, I'll ask the shop to take pictures of the process etc... and then record the sound.

need to be up in a few hours to catch my flight. will try to get some first pics up at the hotel tomorrow night...

apparently losing 20% (off manufacturers claims) at the crank is pretty normal for NA cars. don't know the science or the math. will also post the pics of the print outs...

stay tuned i guess... gotta catch some zzzz now.

Take a look at this thread, http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=136529, loss is more like 10%. According to them. I think that too low!

Those numbers are more like 23% loss, which is too high for this car I think. But it depends on how the test was performed--if it was an acceleration test or not.

Wow I thought my Cooper S was high with a 14% loss. Never dynoed my other cars, I haven't made any performance modifications to them so there's no real reason to.

Kreis-sieg North America and GTHaus (Eisenhaus) share the same offices. I don't know if Kreis-sieg and Eisenhaus are one in the same. Perhaps Eisenhaus is just a distributor for Kreis-sieg. Can anyone clarify?

I want a kreis-sieg system but I will only order from the manufacturer, so if Eisenhaus is the only distributor, I won't buy one and their sales numbers will suffer.

That's the general opinion in this thread.

What I was wondering, though, is whether Kreis-sieg (main) only shares ties to Eisenhaus by way of Kreis-sieg North America (distributor). I'll try to contact Krei-sieg about this if nobody here is sure about a connection.

I was actually out in Mascoutah (possibly a bit further out) earlier in the year, because somehow I got talked into going to a tractor pull. The trucks were loud, the beer was cheep, but I can't come up with any better way to describe the event other than 'interesting'.

That would be mighty awesome of you. I would but I won't see my car till next spring, so I am just collecting as much info as possible so when it gets here I can make the move.

Cheers,

I went to Kreis-sieg's site and clicked the 'Contact' tab. There is an e-mail option on the page that follows.

They responded to my e-mail on the same day.

That is a good sign as to how easy they will be to deal with.

No, it wasn't far.
Yeah, Mascoutah isn't far at all. Haven't been to a tractor pull in years. Funny to hear you describe it.

So any more news on this exhaust? Has anyone bought it? The only thing I know about the Kreissieg exhaust is that it sounds awesome from the 12 videos that are on youtube and I'm thinking of getting it.

Looking at their US site, it seems that having control over the valve to make it louder is a $500+ option? If one forgoes that, then the valve is controlled how? at will of the exhaust at certain rpm?

edit: I was doing some more research on this exhaust and apparently somehow it comes with a swithc for the interior to open and close the valve. The $500 option is for a remote control.
