Pics of my ZCP wheels repainted in black
Decided to get my stock ZCP wheels painted in black to be used for winter duty since there's no way I'm driving around in the snow with my HRE's. Got them done at a local wheel repair shop. Was originally going to get matte black finish but the guy working there suggested "flat black" or satin finish. He showed me some examples of wheels they had in their shop. They had traditional matte finish which I think looks too dull, glossy black which looks nice but didn't think it would suit space grey, then he showed me the satin/flat black finish. Looked just right. Picked them up today and I really dig the finish. Tell me what you think. I know they need to be seen on the car but I want to keep my HRE's on as long as I can before the first snowflake falls!

looks great. i'm considering doing the same on my car. though i'm also considering semi-gloss/gloss as my car is dakar. i'd ask you what this costs, but as you're in canada, i don't think that will tell me much about prices here in the states.
and yes... let's see some pics ON THE CAR !

Damn that's hot. I really want to do this with my JZB but not sure if I should go the all black route.

Post some pictures of them mounted! They look great -- your color choice appears to closely match the GTS wheels.
Nicely done.

They look great. I ordered a set of ZCP's in "vader black" from EAS, but they haven't come in yet. I also have SG. Please post some pictures with them mounted.

That looks very nice. But I thought that matte black was the same as flat black.

Many thanks for all the positive comments. This set me back $600 ($150 / wheel). Pricey I know, I was quoted cheaper somewhere else but I didn't trust that shop so I just took it to this place where they already had excellent reviews. The paint looks very durable just like stock. I will for sure be taking photos on car but that won't be for a few more weeks unless a snow storm is in the forecast! I'm diggin rollin on my P40's for now... but at the same time eager to see how the black wheels will look. Either way it's nice to have a new look every summer/winter season!

Looks amazing...Most would love these as summers, and they are your beater winters :-)...good job.
Who did you have them done by? My Wifes wheels could use a re-spray. Thanks |
