Auto Insurance Recommendation

I am looking at my current rate and despite the excellent service I get from USAA I think I am paying way way way to much. Right now for my wife and I for our 2 cars (2011 Mini and 2010 BMW M3) they are now just gave me my upcoming 6month coverage quote of being $1800 !!!! That should be what it would cost for a year, so I am looking for other companies and wanted everyone's feedback.

I have been using Erie for the past 8 years. I pay around $2300 a year for 3 cars, 09 GTR, 11 GL 350 and 12 C63. I have only filed a claim twice with them, one for a cracked windshield and my bumper on my M3 needed to be fixed after someone scraped it while parking. Also, a perk that I have is reimbursement on towing. I had a car break down 4 hours away and Erie covered it 100%.

i switched to Liberty Mutual after many years with GEICO. BMWCCA members get discounts with LM as well as guarantees for OEM parts. PM me and I'll give you my agent's information.

CS, like you, I was very pleased with USAA's service. That said, I priced out my coverage with Allstate and ended up switching to them.

Never give up USAA coverage.

My 6 month premium for my wife and I (2008 M3 and 2008 IS250), is $1080. We're both under 30. When we lived in Virginia, our insurance on both cars was actually a good $100 less (in line with Kmarei's quote above)!

Paul,

Can you send me LM agent info please? I have had Geico since 16 and I just think i am still paying too much for all the cars and house. Time for re-evaluation.

I just called USAA and they are going to fix my next 6 months premium and its going to be about 1300 every 6 months now. Not sure what they did but its the same coverage, I just called them and explained to them how much higher they were and threatened to move my coverage away form them. Its still about 100 more then some others I saw but I like the service and with having different services with them I get discounts on my home owners and personal property insurance as well.

I just switched from Allstate to Nationwide. Allstate was charging $167 a month with $500 deductible.

Nationwide is giving me $101 a month with $500 deductible. I also got home insurance through them as well.

I have an 08m3 and 11MDX.

I'd never give up my USAA coverage.

Great customer service and no shenanigans - I'll pay a little extra.

It depends on your driving record. I'm happy with Allstate. It's about $600 every 6 months.

I have State Farm...M3 + misc other insurance ($20/mo) = $888 a year in Arlington. I'm 30 with excellent credit and driving record. Excellent service from agent who is just down the street from my residence.

Auto Insurance Recommendation

You should definitely take a look at The Hartford’s car insurance. My wife and I have been with them for 12 years and have all 3 of our cars insured through them. We’ve had 1 claim so far and the entire process went off smoothly. No complaints. They’re conscientious and their service is hassle-free and since you have 2 cars, you could ask them about a multi-car discount as well. Good luck!

My six-month USAA bill for a 2011 M3, a 2010 Q5, and a 2003 F-150 is $966. Granted, I'm 44 . . .
