Anyone with Aftermarket Exhaust in the MN area?

I'm looking at getting new exhaust, I've looked at all the threads with all the videos... Is there anyone in the Twin Cities area that has an m3 with exhaust or is at least in the market?

I'd like to hear some aftermarket exhausts in person because as we all know, movies don't always do them justice. Plus it'd be nice to meet some m3 drivers in the area... as far as I know e9x enthusiasts in the area are somewhat hard to come by...

I'm in Minneapolis but do not have an aftermarket exhaust. You should come to Cars and Cafe on the first Saturday of every month. There are 350+ cars there monthly. You will see plenty of M3's there. Here is some info:

Please mark your calendars with the following 2010 dates:

May 1st
June 5th
July 3rd
August 7th
September 4th

I live in the area. Stock exhaust. Seriously considering the Dinan since they are on sale now.

I'm going to try and do the May 1st Cars and Coffee, if I can find the time.

Anyone doing the BMW DE at BIR in May?

Did a DE a few years back, it was a blast, not sure if I'll make it this year or not though.

How much is Dinan asking for their exhaust?

After recently installing black kidneys, M & S filter and 12mm spacers, I am also thinking Dinan or maybe Gintani, although for a daily driver I can't deal with drone....I was at Brainerd last year, what a shame they changed the track!...the old front straight with the sweeping right hander was the best...now its short, slow and technical. Not nearly as fun...

Also did the black kidney's with matching side grills... good look. Mine is also a daily driver... love the great sound of a louder exhaust, maybe a eisenmann race, but I want to still retain functionality of my voice commands and bluetooth... catch 22

Have you ever been in an e90 m3 with aftermarket or heard in person?

This year's Brainerd DE and most others use the traditional track setup. At least they did last year for a Porsche/bmw club mixer I did up there.

This year's DE is on the 'old course'. So you get the full straight etc..

Dinan exhaust is about $2300, then you get a 20% discount if you buy it before the end of the month. I can't handle any drone so really the only option for me.

maybe I am mistaken but I thought that they physically changed the course where they put a hard left at the end of the front straight which then leads to the back sweeper?...it use to have the long front straight which lead directly into the big sweeper...160mph plus on the front with 120 or so through the turn....

The original course is still intact. The new course does share parts and both enter the big sweeper (turn #1). When the whole course is in effect the 'competition course' is closed off. So for the purpose of the upcoming event it will be on the original course. I think they set it up this way so the dragstrip and the competition course could be used at the same time.

I'm attaching a picture for reference.

It's the weekend of May 14th. Here is a link to the North Star club where the enrollment is.

http://htmldb.northstarbmw.org/pls/h...:1523,CAL_LIST

The free tech inspection is this week, on Thursday. Details are on the site.

I'm enrolled. I have been to Brainerd one other time with the PCA in a Boxster S. This will be the first time in the M3. Should be fun.

I'll be interested in checking out the RPI exhaust. I just put in an order for the Dinan one yesterday . Haven't heard yet on timing, but since they are on sale I think it may take a few weeks to get it.

My brother is home right now and he has a highly modded Red VW GTI. He said that he saw a white e92 m3 with exhaust. He noted that it sounded amazing. I am assuming that it was you? How are you liking the Dinan these days?

The exhaust has been great, I really like the balance between something a bit more aggressive but not in your face. Sounds sweet in the parking garage downtown. Highway driving with the windows up it is pretty close to stock. At startup it is much deeper, sounds cool.

Got my exhaust put on a little over a month ago. I went with the Eisenmann Race. Sounds beautiful. I'd still like to hear the Dinan if you are around.
