sold the e92 just bought the following beater last week:

2003 E500 with 80k miles in like new shape. My plan is to drive it for a year and get into a e93 convertible or maybe even a f30 m3 depending on how it looks.

I miss the e92 but im quite surprised how comfortable the e500 is as a DD. I do miss the rush of "spirited" driving.

Why did you decide to get rid of the M3? Congrats on the E, my dads 550 is one of the most comfortable rides I've ever been in. Period.

Can you call the E500 a beater since it's your only car? You'd have to of kept the M3 in the garage/driveway, and bought the E500 to use as a DD to call it a 'beater'.

my point was i miss the m3! i mean come on im still writing on the m3 forum! Just wanted to share another car that i got. I will be purchasing another m3 in the next year (or until i can find the right color combo/price e93.)

I have 3 cars (infiniti ex35, e36 bmw with 40k original miles, this e500 and the wifes camry) Of all my cars (i seems to change them every few years) ive loved the m3 the most. I had my e46 for over 5 years and loved it! Had the e92 for about a year.

Was not trying to be rude...

grats on the car. I went the opposite...I switched from a w211 to the M3. Becareful tho, the brakes on those things are horrible, super soft

Congratulations on the car. My dad use to have an E500 and it is a VERY comfortable car to drive. I love it.

yes new previous owner added new headlights and HID's. I just ordered a Dynavin with backup camera today ($500 from ebay) I'll get that installed soon.

Since you started the thread, atleast mention why you sold? Only to get a new m3 in a year. This never made sense to me.

Also, if that is a beater for you than life is not bad at all! I pet its a very cush ride. Think it still has 360hp doesn't it? Should pull pretty well
