It depends on what width tire sizes you end up wanting on the car. With the e9x M3, most people want a tire that is at least 265 wide, which would require a 35 sidewall since the 40 sidewall would be way too tall due to width of the actual tire. Keep in mind, the tire sidewall profile is an aspect ratio, which means it is a percentage of the tire width, thus the wider the tire, the smaller of a sidewall profile needed. For example, a 245/40/18 Hankook RS-3 has an overall diameter of 25.7", and a 275/35/18 Hankook RS-3 has an overall diameter of 25.6", a total of 0.1" difference in diameter.

Have anyone had rubbing issues with Ec-7 18x10 ET25 Front and 18x11 ET25 rear, 275 35 18 Front and 285 35 18 Rear with RS3's?
It looks like my front tires rub my kw clubsport spring. Btw, i have -2.8 camber at front. Do i need to add 5mm spacers tho? |

Yes 5mm spacers are needed to clear the helper spring on the clubsports with 18x10 ET25 apex wheels.

Where do you track your M here in SA? I've heard of Harris Hill but haven't made my way out there yet... Hard to spot modified M's around here, most of the ones I've seen are stock.. I guess I live on the wrong side of town.. lol.. Thanks. |

Due to the helper spring that KW uses with their Clubsport coilovers, the spring perch sits very low, thus the use of the 18x10" ET25 requires a 5mm spacer to clear the perch. This is due to the extra width of the 18x10" ET25 wheel compared to the OEM wheels. For example, the 18x10" ET25 EC-7 is a full inch wider than the Style 359 (ZCP) wheel in front, and has 7mm less clearance on the strut side. Combined with a wider tire size, such as your 275/35/18 RS3, and the low spring perch of the KW Clubsports, the wheels and tires then interfere with the spring perch and would either require the use of a small spacer, or the removal of the helper spring which many have done as well.

Thank you. I've putted the 5mm spacers at the front. Now the passenger side tire is rubbing my fender when i turn right. And I'm worry about that the driver side is still slightly rubbing my spring, and the passenger side is rubbing my fender tho. I will need to bring them to the shop and see what they can do.

That is actually one of the features of the 18x10" ET25 EC-7's, the ability to clear the Brembo 6-piston 380mm BBK, as well as the Alcon Super Kit 384mm BBK!

You're absolutely correct, they sure do! For both the ST-60 and Trophy kits.
Both the 18x9.5" ET22 and 18x11" ET25 EC-7's in Profile 3 also clear the Brembo 380mm BBK without an issue!
