Question for those that have oem xpipe w/ test pipes and corsa?

Hi
I'm considering adding this combo to my car. I currently just have a corsa with oem xpipe. I'm looking to minimize rasp but make the overall volume a bit louder and more exotic. Can anyone confirm if this setup will achieve this?

Also the reason I'm avoiding an aftermarket xpipe such as BW is due to the reported rasp

I switched to the corsa rear after I already had test pipes, but it sounds great. Doesn't rasp. At this point, this is going to be my long term maybe forever exhaust setup.

I'm running Corsa with test pipes as well and have more rasp then I want (it's a small, tolerable amount). I'm hoping new gaskets at the header/test pipe connections will help- I just need to find time to install them.

But overall this combo sounds amazing and is likely the most popular feature of my car with friends and family, but I'm always on the hunt for a quality aftermarket cat less x-pipe.

So as corsa owners we all know sub 4K rpm sounds great. Over 5K and the sound dies. Did the test pipes change anything at the upper RPMs?

It's volume is louder with test pipes.

4K is definitely the sweet spot. It doesn't necessarily get exponentially louder at high RPMs. It's more of a gentlemen's exhaust then loud, poppy and annoying. I enjoy this as it allows me to still hear the induction noise. It's the first and last exhaust for my taste

Just to comment, you've probably got a leak around your test pipe clamps. I had mine welded and it made a massive sound difference.

I've also noticed I'm getting a leak around the corsa's muffler clamps, going to get those welded next week. When I'm done, the only connection points should be header to x pipe, and x pipe to muffler.

I had my test pipes v-banded in with a stock rear muffler before getting the Corsa. Honestly, the stock rear with test pipes was pretty dang raspy, driving the immediate purchase of the Corsa. The Corsa is waaaaaay better. It technically has a bit of rasp right around 4k, but it's honestly a very nice tone and note. It's a little more droney than stock rear, but that's mostly because it's a higher pitch tone.

Still really want hear what the Corsa sounds like with BW resonated X-pipe with some secondary cats welded in.

I plan on going exactly this route. Currently on test pipes w/ OEM x-pipe and 2-pipe OEM Mod...thinking about Corsa with these tips

https://www.carid.com/different-tren...-24156lbk.html

and a BW resonated x-pipe...that I then cut and weld the OEM secondaries into. They are good quality and not that restrictive, but having tried full catless, they do a lot to clean up the smell and sound.
