Hey guys- it is with much regret that I have to sell my beloved M3. If I could keep her forever, I would. My wife recently quit her job to be a stay-at-home mom, and I need to part with one of my toys. Its the best all-around car I've ever owned. I won't drone on about how great the M3 is because of where I am posting this - you all already know! I bought the car in Feb 2015 from the original owner and added an Assurant Warranty after reading reviews here on m3post. My warranty lasts until March 2019 or 50K miles, whichever comes first. I can transfer it to the new owner. Here is the run down on all the details, mostly pretty much from the cars sticker:

- 2011 BMW M3 E90 Sedan, 33,954 miles
- 6MT Competition Package
- Alpine white on Black
- Second owner, have averaged about 5K miles/year.
- Dynamic Dampening Control
- BMW M Drive
- Navigation (updated maps in 2015)
- Voice Command
- Comfort Access
- Premium Packaged 2 (includes power folding mirrors)
- BMW Assist
- Bluetooth phone/audio (on latest software update)
- Digital compass mirror / Universal garage remote
- Rear Park Distance Control
- Smartphone integration / iPod and USB adapter
- BMW Anti-theft alarm system
- Moonroof
- Fully adjustable Driver/Passenger seats- lumbar+side/back bolstering
- Split fold-down rear seats with pass-thru,
- Rear folding headrests
- Automatic Start/Stop function.

About the only option it doesn't have is the cold-weather package since the original owner lived in San Antonio.

This M3 has never been in any accidents, has all original paint, has a clean Carfax history, and includes service/maintenance history and receipts. The exterior is in terrific condition and the interior is almost flawless. The only "issues" with the car is the front passenger side wheel has a couple bits of curb rash but is hard to notice, some rock chips on the front bumper passenger side and a small (silver dollar size?) "ripple" in the rear bumper where I rolled backwards slowly into an inconveniently placed tree next to our driveway. I know, so stupid, haha. I did it right after I got the car and it has just never been noticeable enough to me to be worth repainting it, so I've left it as-is. The car comes with service records and receipts. I have an oil service scheduled next week which will make the 6th oil change its had for is rather low mileage. Other regular maintenance has been performed and fluids changed over the last few years.

Also for full disclosure, since it will put some people off and I want to be totally honest, a little over a month ago I drove her at the Circuit of the Americas track in June with the BMWCCA. I flushed brake fluid with RedLine and installed PFC front/rear pads, as well as used a dedicated set of wheels/tires. The stock pads and wheels/tires (Bridgestone RE-11's) are back on the car now. The PFC track pads and wheels/tires (RE-71R's) will be for sale in another thread soon. All that being said, I would highly encourage anyone who owns an M-car (or any car for that matter) to experience driving on a track at least once. Otherwise you are missing out! Just my opinion.

Lastly- I am very comfortable dealing with buyers from anywhere in the US, and can work with the buyer to arrange shipping, or help with travel. I've pretty much purchased every car I've owned out of state and I am happy with helping anyone take this amazing car off my hands, despite where you live.

Let me know if I am forgetting anything else or you have any questions.

Ben

Some people have asked me what the price is without the warranty included. I can take off $1000 since I *should* be able to sell it back to Assurant for like 50% cost (it cost me $2K). That would make the price $43,950

Nice car! Even though it's a little far from me, I certainly missed out on a good opportunity. Looks like it sold quickly. It's not going to EAG is it?

Sorry for the delay, I thought I was getting notifications to this thread by default since I was the author!

The car is officially sold! No, it is not going to EAG, though I had been talking to them. It is going to a gentleman who I am confident is going to really take care of her. I'm sad to see the M3 go, it's probably been the best car I've ever owned.

Anyone have any recommendations on a good car shipper? It needs to go from Northwest Arkansas to NYC. thanks!

Glad you found a good guy to take care of your baby. Just wish it could have been me!

By the way, since I rarely see anyone post info after the sale, and just to help others out (both sellers and potential buyers), the final negotiated selling price was $42,500. That was without warranty as the buyer is getting their own. Hopefully I get at least 50% of my money back cancelling with Assurant. On top of the selling price, the buyer also paid for a PPI at the local BMW dealer, and an oil test done by Blackstone Labs (all checked out great).

Lastly- this was my first M3 (and first BMW for that matter), but it will not be my last. I'm already looking for a much cheaper daily driver and have my eyes on possibly an E39 or E60 5-series. It probably won't be an M, but after two decades of being a loyal Honda fan boy (and I still own an S2000 and an Integra Type R), I have found I really enjoy BMW as a brand and as a car philosophy. They make cars that are fun to drive, offering RWD and manual transmissions even in grocery-getter status cars. Couldn't have seen myself saying that a couple years ago!

Thanks for the follow up r1214. I'm still looking for a car, and sometimes EAG does have what I want. When you talked to them, were they offering you a good price? I'm wondering what kind of markup they add. And of course I still need to add shipping. There was a local car to me which I has just missed the BMWCCA ad and EAG got the car. They have recently sold it, so I guess their selling price was reasonable to someone, but I can't help thinking that I could have gotten it for maybe $10k less than their list price.

They offered me $37K and then went up to $38K. They insisted that they would have to spend $1500 in paint because they wanted the front and rear bumpers perfect, and they don't sell cars with holes in the front from license plate holders. Still that would have only got me to $39,500 if I'd had perfect front/rear bumpers. They also apparently do full fluid flushes on every system once they get the car, so you could assume another $500-1000 maybe they are out on. The price they offer you also covers the covered shipping, and I'm guessing that is around $1000. I would bet they want to make somewhere around 10% profit, so that's how you end up in the high 40's on these cars. I don't know that I think that is really all that crazy for the quality they pick and/or bring cars up to before they sell them. But you can definitely find them cheaper if you are patient.

That's good info r1214; thanks for the feedback.

Well of course they would try to point out "defects" in your car and god knows why they would repaint perfect bumpers (and it's doubtful they really would respray since that would turn off potential buyers). I do see E90s on their site with front bumper plate holes (at least filled in), so that was an outright lie.

The 2011 car I was interested in had the 18" wheels (which I actually prefer). When I got the inspection report, it listed all four wheels "had minor cosmetic blemishes" so they replaced them with ZCP wheels (to make it look like a ZCP car and raise the price?). They quoted me $2400 shipping from their place to San Jose. Anyhow it would be hard to negotiate with them since they can simply store the cars and wait plus that extra $2400 for shipping makes EAG a bad deal for me, so I'll need to keep looking and hopefully find an E90 before they snap it up.

boxyBimmerDriver: FYI, my buyer paid $1000 to have it shipped from Fayetteville Arkansas to NYC. Nice covered trailer. $2400 seems pretty high, even though that is a bit longer haul I guess.
