What price to negotiate?

Hey all, I have been a lurker on the forums for about a year now. I finally decided to join and ask for some help. I am coming from a 2006 M3 and am thinking about hopping into a 2011 E92 M3 Silverstone metallic. I am actually headed to the dealer again tomorrow to talk more price, financing etc. This is on the dealer lot and they are quoting me 68,425.

Options include:
Premium Package
Convenience Package
Cold Weather Package
19" Wheels
Satellite Radio

Can somebody help me out with a fair price? This is their MSRP according to window sticker. According to KBB its around 66,700 is this fair to ask? This is only the 2nd car I every bought at a dealer and the first was a really good price, really no haggling. Thanks in advance and also thanks for the great threads I've been reading for a year.. you guys really know your stuff.

No more than $500 over invoice. Go to Edmunds.com and find the invoice price. Watch for doc fees and financing markups.

Check the invoice price for the car you want on edmumds.com

You can order this car at 300 to 500 above invoice. Get a local dealer down to at least 1000 over at worst case or you are going to feel bad about it later.

If they know they are competing with an internet dealer, they will at least try to come closer in price.

Or go with Golfferr ( my choice) or David ( east coast).

Thank you both for the quick responses. I did not think to even go anywhere near that low. I was thinking maybe shaving off about $1000. I did check out KBB fair market value and now edmunds TMV (thanks to you guys), and those numbers are close to what you guys are suggesting, so thank you for that.

Mind my ignorance but who or what is Golferr or David. I am on the east coast (south central pa to be exact).

Again thanks all for any responses and help. I hope to be enjoying my new ///M soon. BTW, is it cheaper in general to buy off the lot as opposed to ordering for delivery? Thanks again, any other tips or advice is appreciated.

BTW hbcpa.. big day tomorrow (today) congrats

I bought my car from David. He's located at Northwest BMW just outside Baltimore. You can find his info at Eurocarsonline.com. Golfferr is located in CA. Both are m3post.com sponsors. Golferr post in many threads on this board his info is in his signature.

There is no price difference between order or off the lot.
