Why is my Blackberry browser slow as ****
I have a Blackberry Curve 8900 and my browser is slow as fuck. Did I set it up right to begin with or is it naturally painfully slow? My iPhone browser was ten times better.

open the browser and check the options > browser options: only have prompt to enable javascript checked
see if that helps the browser is deff slow on EDGE mine not so bad on wifi.. i have ATT also check out http://boltbrowser.com/download.html for most surfing needs. renders page much better and quick. some things you will have no choice but to use the BB browser pull you battery if you have not done so in a while.. does wonders for BB performance

Your phone doesn't have WiFi, so it will never be as fast as an iphone.

The 8900 sucks! I have it and I'm just waiting for the 9700 to come out. As for ringtones, don't bother paying for it. Just load your mp3 onto the memory card and BAM, ringtone. If you want a certain section cut out, go to your itunes, go to the song option and select where you want it to start. Once you get that, convert it to mp3 and thats it!

I've got an 8830 on Verizon, and it is slow as hell. I think it just BB's browser is a piece of crap. My Verizon AirCard is usually pretty fast.
My iPhone on AT&T's 3G is much faster than my BB on Verizon.

The rendering on the browser on the BB sucks. The network is good, the phone for browsing simply is not.

Download Bolt. It'll be that much faster.
Oh and delete all unnecessary apps. Apps killed my Bold, made it sooo slow... deleted them all but the ones I absolutely need and now its fast! |

Also the BB is known for its memory issues and a battery pull should be be done once or twice a week depending on usage.
