E85 Tune needed. Vendors please chime in.

As the title states. We are looking to convert my car onto pure E85 here. Right now we are running 9psi through the ESS kit, and are looking to pump her to about 12ish, but before we do so, we are upgrading the IC setup (Trunk mount reservoir w/ higher flow pump and larger, more efficient heat exchanger) larger injectors, higher flowing fuel pump and larger send and return fuel lines. Our issue that myself and Andrew @ AR Design have ran into is tuning on E85. I do not want to run meth, due to the fact of how inconsistent it is, and pump gas isn't an option, so we are turning to full E85. Our barrier is tuning however. We are looking for someone who is willing to come on board and tackle the tuning (drivability and WOT) for a full E85 setup. If anyone is interested in jumping on this, please let us know.

I appreciate you forging ahead into new territory, but I do have to disagree with your saying that methanol is inconsistent, especially when using a good setup.

There are 2 335i's with baseball holes in the block up at AR Design that say otherwise lol. Meth is a band-aid and I would prefer to just run consistent fueling vs meth.

Ah. Were they using the Procede? And what kind of fuel pump(s) are you going with? 2 OEM or aftermarket?

The 335s sound like they weren't tuned properly. The meth should be used in addition to the tune, not in conjunction with it. Granted that is provided you are after more power that is safe. The N54 block is capable of a large amount of power, as we have seen. So if they blew they were most likely abused and neglected.
If you add a quality stand alone meth kit the car will gain power and your engine will last longer as a result of the added safety achieved from lower iats, added octane etc. Snow Performance or AA have nice kits, AA's kit is made just for the E90 and works well. Tune the car for all it can take and then some and you may have a different outcome. Especially given the variances in E85 blends from location to location. This is why those on a serious quest for power build there cars from all aspects for max power from pump gas that can be easily obtained.
If there hasn't been someone near a reputable tuner that has yet to accomplish an E85 conversion, there's probably a good reason for it. Sometimes it's not the best to be a guinea pig unless you've got a fair amount of extra cash burning holes in your pocket.
However this unfolds, I wish you and this platform the best of luck in your endeavor.

I think the OP is going beyond meth, which should be injected in only limited quantities because it is corrosive and when injected at the high end of that range, should be multiport rather than one or two nozzles. Done right, it can work right and be reliable up to a point. The OP as an engine fancier than the n54/55 and with a fancy SC kit. E85 with a fuel analyzer and an ignition timing and/or rpm safeguard gives a better chance of avoiding building a motor.

So you are going to run 12psi on E85 on stock internals.
If you get an E85 tune. I'd recommend you at least change your rods.
E85 and 12:01 comp will be serious power power but with stock rods and stock plugs you will need a new motor very soon. Won't be reliable if not done right.

Good luck !

This is being done at 6k elevation. There is already a car running healthy at sea level on pump + Meth on 12psi =D

Problem is you will be getting like 5mpg. I run 30 percent mix of e85 on a NA car and get 14mpg (I drive it like I stole it). With full e85 and boost, man you will be filling up an insane amount. That is the only thing that would keep me from doing it unless it is just a track car but even then you would need to fill up every 2 laps!

Oh any M3 will run 12psi but what's your def of run ?
It's a ticking bomb waiting to happen. Show me data proving or backing up what you say.
I'm not against you and I don't want to sound negative, I'm just trying to give you an advice.

but you only advise on changing the rods?? that doesn't make sense.

Forget about OP being in elevation; high boost on a high CR motor is the time bomb, but what's changing the rods going to do? At that point you need to lower the compression and do rods/pistons and new bearings. I for one don't think any boost is good for a high CR motor unless the CR is dropped to 9.1 or 10.1. If you're gonna pull the motor may as well do it right.

You can run 12:01 on straight E85 And you are going to make ton of power and your mid range will pick up some nice tq
You will need a tune, injectors, fuel pumps, and bigger lines.
