I fully agree, and that's why I asked. I'd rather spend extra dollars on wheels specifically made to fit my car. These wheels aren't for me

Yep, one-piece forged with model-specific width and offset is the best, like the RAC Monolite RG4s on my E46.

^ Greg, out of curiousity, what do those wheels weigh? They look clean.

Soon BBS will have a new wheel w the proper spec out for the e92 M3. It may even push the boundary of the width of the stock 23 rear, 29 front.

The closest offset avail right now on the RS-GT is a 25 rear, 35 front. (I was told when I purchased these that they were "....the BBS spec for the e46 M3..." I milled the rear hub by 5mm to fit the 335 properly.)

Love the RACs, but I get the impression they only do custom, small order goup buy-ish runs? Is that true?

BTW, what other companies do 8,000T forged? Champion obviously does, but not for schmucks like us

Is this an assumption or fact? With BBS in bankruptcy I'd be surprised if they do tons of new development. Even if they made them eventually I'd be hesitant to buy them since replacement wheels might become rather tough to find if the company closes for good

That was old news.

It's not uncommon for big companies to file bankruptcy, BBS was absorbed into German industrial giant Punch International. (which also owns ZF)

BBS is still the sh*t.

what about 20"

any thoughts out there on how handling characteristics would change with 20 inchers? obviously they're going to weigh more.

If you have to have 20's, just get a different car. It's not a good idea if you are serious about performance.

Back to my original question, is this fact - or assumption? Right now there are no known aftermarket wheels with the proper offsets (that don't require spacers). If you can tell me this is fact it will weigh heavily on my wheel purchase plans. Thanks in advance!

LM-R's that longtran just bought are made for new E92 M3.

OC, any more pics of the 335?

I am looking at those wheels and thinking they might be too flashy.

You are absolutely right, It's going to be tough right now to find published specs for wheels we want here, initially for our car. Mantis is right, there are wheels available for our car that are just now being made available. You have to call the distributors. The M3 is one of the "covercars" for BBS, no doubt they will adorn it properly. So I guess this would be my assumption based on past history.

Ep, these are available in "diamond black" finish which will definitely diminish the bling.

Here's a few more shots...

a couple dime-pieces by the ride...

Bam!

Thanks for the compliment Lucid. She's now no more. I recently "swapaleased" out of her in prep for the M3.
