Helmet requirement: SNELL 2000 / 2005 / 2010
Does a SA2010 helmet meet the requirements of either a SNELL 2000 or 2005-rated helmet?
Upcoming event requires iether a 2000 or 2005; would like to get a relatively cheap SA2010 pyrotect thing if possible (they don't rent them at the event). |

I don't know the answer to you question, but get something that is at least Snell 2005 or equivalent, because most clubs won't let you use Snell 2000.

If I remember correctly, most tracks wont let you use helmets that are over 10 years old so I dont think the Snell 2000 would work. If I were you I'd get the 2010 helmet that way you wont have to update for another 9 years.

//QUOTE] Yes a Snell 2010 would be an able replacement for either a 2000 or 2005. ( the number is the year of the criteria used for setting the helmet standard... a snell 2010 should be good until 2020....)

It is the newest standard from Snell, better than 2000/2005. Will last 10 years (as long as you don't drop it or crash heavily...)
