Hi gang,

Thanks for the welcome; I am slowly figuring out how to resize some pictures to work. This is my work shop not really the garage for the new 330xi. By way of introduction, I am a hopeless car nut that has been thru all cycles of street rods, race cars classics etc. I grew up drag racing. I am an aircraft mechanic and have spent most of the last 30 plus years in the commercial helicopter business. This site was a big help while I was making my decision to buy the BMW. I traded a 04 Acura TL 6 speed for the 330xi. The TL was a very nice car but I finally came to the conclusion that it was basically a Honda with a very killer radio. I love my new 330xi; the very slight tinge of buyer’s remorse was gone after about 5 miles on the way home. I really wanted a 330i with the sport package, but since the 330xi is my winter car (we live near Pittsburgh) I decided to wimp out and get the xi. I may change the wheels to the 162’s this spring so if any one has a set they want to sell let me know. I have attached another of photo of my current project, a 60’s top fuel dragster that I am restoring, yes it has a hemi. Thanks for you kind words and for all the useful information.

Dragsternut - that's a hell of a shop you have there! Welcome again. You're not going to turn the 330xi into a funny car are you?

Like I said, we're all at different points in our life, you're lucky enough to have a bimmer. I remember when I lived in an apartment, I didn't even dream of owning a bimmer. I thought my '89 Honda Accord was the shizzy.
Petercat, that's a beautiful house.

Welcome Dragsternut. Hope you find this site useful and fun. Everybody here is pretty cool.

That sure is a great shop. So, there's a Z28 on the lift, what's the car under it?

Good call with the xi for your winter car. I hate to tell you though, I've been very satisfied with the DSC in the RWD car in the Minnesota winter. We'll see how long that lasts if I ever get stuck in the snow or on a hill.

Good Luck.

63 Oldsmobile

The green car is a 1963 Oldsmobile 2dr Holiday 88, it has a 394 CID engine and 23k original miles. I have had it for 20 years. It will never be worth much money, but it is one of the best vintage cars I have owned. I hope to get it set up to tow my vintage Scotty travel (last years winter project) this summer. I know...... I have strange automotive interest.

As for the 330xi vs i I have rarely needed all wheel drive except getting up the road to my house and driveway. Pittsburgh is very hilly and I had to park at the botton a few times last year and hike home. It was a very tough decission to get the xi. I love the way the 330 i sits with the sport package. I may drop her down a bit and get some 162's.

a dropped 330xi with 162's or aftermarket wheels sounds amazing to me. I like the sound of all wheel drive even though i live in south florida. I just hate the wheels and the way that the XI's sit even with the sports pkg

Not a pad, crib or resort!

Here is ours, a typical New England Colonial. You don't want to see rest of the house, other wise you would have to see how a real home with kids looks like!

Honestly, I think you're doin quite well for your age.
You have your own place to stay, and your own car.
Besides, not all of us are decor freaks. That's what all those TLC reality shows are for.

Wow, I really love the exterior shot of your beautiful house. It appears to me like a crossing between a chapel and a firehouse (3 garages ) . Especially likes the large windows.

Congrats
