Rotor rust
Everytime I wash my 2011 e93, or it rains, my rotors rust overnight. This quickly covers the rims with rust after breaking. Any solutions, or just something to live with?
Thanks. |

Basically it's just something you live with. Using the right wheel cleaners is critical, of course, but the rotors will rust no matter what (even with only water). This is the case with any car.

if your rotors are rusty, before you go for a drive, creep around real slowly and brake lightly. Itll clean off the rotors without rust flying everywhere. I have black wheels so its a huge pita

For all practical purposed impossible to eliminate. It has become a normal last step of my regular wash to take the car for a quick spin around the block, get the pad to "wipe" all the rust off of the rotor surfaces, heat them up a bit to dry them and follow up with a careful wipe down of the entire wheel t remove the rust dust.
