Not bad, but that tip is a little on the big side for my taste. It might look better if they were double-walled and slightly smaller. I think the tips on the AA exhaust look awesome for such a large diameter.

I don't know why they look so much larger than the 90mm Larini tiips on my E46. Maybe because they're not rolled. My current Eisenmann has 86mm tips, which I think are just right on the E92.

Gintani Sport Rear Section

I have had my Gintani on for about a month. I drive it everyday in Dallas and I track it once a month. Here are my observations:

Great fit and finish. Installation was easy and precise...Looks fabulous, maybe the tips are just a little too large. I think 85mm might be better and a slant cut would also be a nice option.

Now, here is the performance:

VERY deep cold start for the first 2 minutes, then it settles into a deep, mellow tone. Very deep and strong cabin noise up to 3,400 RPM. Above 3,400 the exhaust backs off and lets the great V8 engine noise come through. Around 6,000 rpm the exhaust comes back a little, but never goes into a wail.

My exhaust has gotten louder since tracking the car. I do use a little Dynamat in the truck pushed into the seam between the back seat and the trunk. It seems to help a little.

All in all, the Sport version is a good daily driver exhaust with plenty of performance and sound even for the track. I would not want the exhaust any louder.

Greg, I know you from Roadfly and I think you have the Sport Eissenman. I would be interested in getting your opinion on the comparison between the Eissenman Sport and the Gintani Sport. My take is the GS is between the ES and the E Race?

I have never heard a Gintani, so I really can't compare. I do know that the Eisenmann Sport is perfect for my needs as a daily driver, and it is has noticeably better sound and appearance than stock, and I have never felt it it too loud for street use.

It's pretty fookin awesome, I was there a couple months ago when they installed the full gintani sport system on my friends car. I think it was the first customer car on the lift at the new shop haha.

gintani

Losing my mind over choosing the right exhaust. Definitely a fan of Gintani, but would you say it considered one of the louder setups? I would probably do hi-flow cats as well.

Considered on the loud side but also one of the best sounding. It's a good loud though, not an all over the place, obnoxious loud.

There are many choices with Gintani. I currently have the valved sport with catless quad resonated x-pipe. It sounds great and the valve closed removes most of the drone at highway speeds.
I just ordered the race with valves and am going to see how bad the drone is on the highway.
IMO Gintani is simply the best sounding exhaust on the market but then again exhaust is 100% subjective.
If you want a Fukin badass loud exhaust go with race but if you need a quieter exhaust the sport with valves is a great option.
I am on my iPhone so I can't link my review but if you go into my posted threads you can find detailed pics and videos of the valved sport set-up

If you want a loud, bassy boomy exhaust they are great for an american muscle v8 sound. If you like a bit more high pitched, euro sound I think akra, m performance.

Eisennman is a bit of american muscle with a tad euro

Gintani is "bassy" at lower RPM's but once it gets moving it definitely not bassy and has a very distinct sound.
I've heard people compare to "american muscle" before but to me it sounds very different. Of course... it all very subjective.
Here's a clip of my Gintani sport with Quad Resonated X-Pipe. It's long and not too much to see, since it was shot at night, but you can hear the true tone of the exhaust

I don't think anyone would say it sounds bad at all. It just sounds more american muscle than euro high revving v8. Which some like and some do not like. To me sounding like a mustang is not appealing.

Drone is another issue and have lived with drone in the past and would never go back to drone!

I can't believe how happy I am with the stock rear and a catless xpipe which truly has zero drone and a great sound. Off topic though

Did you do the OEM exhaust MOD as well? Where a VID? I'd like to hear it

The Gintani Sport with valve has less drone than my M-Performance with stock X-Pipe.
I'm hoping the race + valve won't give me a headache on the highway
