DCT owners is this sound normal?

Hello
Just got mine 2 days ago I'm following the breaking in instructions religiously. I noticed when the car on the automatic mode there is a noise when the 1st gear engages (from 2nd to 1st when I stop at the light) ....I was wondering if it is normal? The car has 100 miles now.

Yes, going into and out of first it makes a "clunk" type of noise. I gets better after a few thousand miles or I've learned to just tune it out.

Thanks ...it is exactly a clunk sound...
It might be early to ask this but on the 1200 miles service should I insist that the transmission fluid should not be changed?
Thanks

I get the same noise but not all the time.

I mentioned it when it went for service however they said there was no problem and it is normal.

Same. Doesn't happen all the time but when it does passengers are even like .... "whoa what was that?" or "what'd you do?".

The M-DCT makes several "different" sounds that are normal. Like the engine you'll soon enjoy the new "music".

This worked for my 1200 mile service. I printed two copies of the service bulletin, gave one to the service advisor when leaving my car and taped the other to the center console for the technician….both were happy I did.
Attached is the TSB that was available on the forum.
