DCT owners is this sound normal?
Hello
Just got mine 2 days ago I'm following the breaking in instructions religiously. I noticed when the car on the automatic mode there is a noise when the 1st gear engages (from 2nd to 1st when I stop at the light) ....I was wondering if it is normal? The car has 100 miles now. |

Yes, going into and out of first it makes a "clunk" type of noise. I gets better after a few thousand miles or I've learned to just tune it out.

Thanks ...it is exactly a clunk sound...
It might be early to ask this but on the 1200 miles service should I insist that the transmission fluid should not be changed? Thanks |

Same. Doesn't happen all the time but when it does passengers are even like .... "whoa what was that?" or "what'd you do?".

This worked for my 1200 mile service. I printed two copies of the service bulletin, gave one to the service advisor when leaving my car and taped the other to the center console for the technician….both were happy I did. Attached is the TSB that was available on the forum. |
