A perfect day for a drive!

ALM3 and I met Saturday for a drive to Wasaga Beach. Below our some pics of his MR and my SSII together. We had a perfect sunny day and hope that on our next drive we will have some more Toronto owners join us.

I set up an album with all the pics for those who are interested.

Lovely pics. You don't get 483km on a half tank of gas, do you?

Best regards, south

No, unfortunately I don't. When we refuelled at the beginning part of the day I had just under half a tank of gas and forgot to reset the odometer. I have been averaging approx 15L/100 km (400kms a tank) but it really depends on how you are driving the car.

Yeah, I think I was in 5th at the time. The car is so quiet that I often forget about 6th gear on the highways.

I think ALM3 will post some pics from his camera too. There are only so many shots you can take while you are driving. Unfortunately, for the really fun parts of the drive I had both hands on the wheel so no pics. Next time I will need to find someone to ride shotgun with a camera in hand.

For a moment I was afraid I'm doing something wrong. My average is about the same.

Best regards, south

Perfect, thanks for the pics. I just spent 3 weeks in Ontario, unfortunately work forced me to come home.

Thanks for sharing.

I swear it seems almost every red M3 I've seen has a sunroof, not CF. Nice looking cars, especially the coupe.

I was actually in wasaga beach the whole weekend in one of the cottages up there. Luckily the weather was really nice this weekend compared to what we've been getting lately, it must've been nice riding around with the e93, perfect setting. Too bad I didn't see you guys roll around i would've flipped out.

It was probably tough to see us for all the vette's in town. We parked a little bit off the main strip just on the other side of the river cause of all the traffic. I didn't realize that they were doing a Vette cruise...must have been 200+ vettes. Anyways, the next time you are up you should look up Pretty River Road on the GPS. It is only 20 mins from Wasaga and a great drive, lots of turns and bends with some elevation change, and no houses or towns so very little traffic.

It was nice to have a great weekend to enjoy the vert, but to be honest I just passed 6,000 kms and I have rarely had the top up unless it is a huge downpour. I am the guy coming home from work in February with a touque and winter gloves on with the top down. The person who invented heated seats is a genius.

Here are some more pictures of the Wasaga drive that I did not have time to post before. Thanks to Al for sending me his. We are going to try to organize another drive for late September, probably on the 28th and work it into Bimmerfest in Whitby. http://www.bimmercruise.com/ We will keep you posted.

Beautiful cars you have there. Red looks so good with the sunroof option and really is the rare choice. Enjoy in good health and safely
