I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I used a tripod or did an exposure longer than 1/15th of a second. You can view the EXIF on all of my photos if you're interested in what settings I use.
Noticed your flick link after I replied. Great shots, you have a good eye.

I need a full frame bad. My only decent non DX lens is a 50mm 1.4 (I am on a crop sensor Nikon D90). So I would need to buy a decent 35mm prime, or maybe a 24-70 f2 along with a full frame body to capture some of the scenes you are getting. Expensive hobby!

Thanks for posting!

NOOOOoooooOooo hahaha dont ever thiiink you need to upgrade! technically you don't need anything. For years i shot on a 2004 canon 20D & not until recently did i upgrade from that camera... I learned everything because of my 20d. I wanted to make sure I produce better photographs than everyone I knew with a better camera than me. Nothing would stop be from doing just that.

If you read one of kielan's post, he has been creating these images with a freakin rebel! sure the dynamic range is now greatly improved with his upgrade... but the vision and eye for composition was built on his experience and not his gear.

I have been shooting crop sensor for years. Composition is one thing, but full frames are just better for the type of shooting i want to do.. big fine art prints, landscapes, architecture and scenes like kielan's.

Plus, they have better high iso performance, so those shots tend to be sharper than the crop counterparts, especially in low light.

Plus I like new toys.

The ISO performance on the 5D2 in comparison to the T2i is stellar, and the dynamic range melts my mind. Shooting FF is awesome, and if you feel that you have hit the wall with your crop sensor, you should absolutely make the upgrade when you can.

Been a long time since I updated this thread.

I recently bought an 01.5 S4 Avant, currently down for turbo replacement, but I absolutely love the thing. Bought it basically stock (had a flash and gutted cats), now it's got a full SSAC turbo back exhaust, BC Racing coilovers with custom rates, and a few little misc mods here to increase awareness VEI digital boost gauge, hardwired V1, etc. Can't wait to make more progress on the thing.

It's really been quite some time since I've updated this thread.

Some of my latest work.
