Store to buy a helmet in VC or Valley?

All the places I have called only do motorcycle DOT rated helmets. No one has SNELL rated helmets.

Does anyone know of a store I can go to to try on and buy one?

If you are buying Arai - Their Corsair V motorcycle helmet fits exactly the same as the GP-6 series motorsport helmet. You could try on the MC model and then order the GP-6 online. If you go that route PM me and I'll tell you a good place to get a deal on the GP-6 online.

The GP-6 is a bit more than what I would like to pay. Im only going to track probably 6 times a year. So I was thinking more in the $200 range. I know I am a L in Bell, but Im not loving their helmets. Was debating just getting the Bell open face one, to start out. Not sure though.

Check our Werks II in Burbank. They have a quite of few different brands to look at and try on.

You should expect to spend more than $200 and your head is probably worth more than that.

There is a SNELL 2010 helmet by HJC that is less than that. As long as its certified it should do its job. Price above that is a lot of looks, comfort and features...

They do custom painted race helmets and sell all brands....

Thanks for the heads up. Not sure if Ill get out there. Its like an hour away from me. Their prices look crazy too. The Bell Sport Mag on their site is over $100 more than anywhere else Ive seen...

Ugh.

I thought I found one I likes last night, but realized its SNELL 2010 M not SA. Dammit.
