$200-300... pretty cheap... I commute about 1000 miles per month in hybrids burning junk 87, and I drive probably 400 miles per month in my pleasure vehicles that burn 91 (2 M3's and an S2000).

I spend about $2000 at the gokart track every year though

People that use this car as their DD and are only spending 150 bucks on gas really should not own an m3 as that means you are babying it beyond belief. Beyond even "normal" pace driving.

I am at 2 tanks a week pretty much which puts me around 500 a month. Small price to pay for the daily fun it brings and the rush every time I get into the car. Sure beats spending money on booze or bars, neither of which I waste my time or money on so its not bad to me.

I'd say between $250 and $325 depending on how much driving I do for fun that month.

A couple hundred extra a month to get the proper octane is worth it, even if its only in my head! Which I actually do not think is the case for this particular engine as I feel enough evidence is out there that 91 really does not make the same hp as 94 (about 30hp less

Seems like you have a license for everything lol

Getting R6 soon

Out of interest, as your UK based, how far do you drive to work/drive lots in a month generally?

And do you drive fast generally, sounds mad, but I'm just trying to work out what the most realistic petrol price per month will be.

Higher octane fuel is generally safer for your car, more refined, and in the UK we have a V power one that actually cleans out your sparks etc. 97 octane i believe.

Have a look into Octane boosters instead of filling up on race fuel?

Millers octane boost is meant to be good.

Deffinatly worth it.

97 Octane RON is approximately 93 octane in US (AKI), which is what most of the country gets outside of California and a few other unfortunate states which get 91 AKI (95-96 RON).

Blending to 96 octane AKI has been shown to make a huge difference in performance on the low end of this engine... I would fill up with the blend if it were more convenient, but the stations are few and far in between.

Thats pretty low fuel costs for a daily driver car. Thanks for you reply.

Seems like the average is around $250-400/month, I can safely say I think ill need £500-600/month on petrol lol.

$1.30 litre for you £1.30 litre for me

I'm UK and usually around £300-£350 a month based on £1.36 a litre high octane unleaded.

That's based on a mixture of I'd say 70% miles on motorway 30% around the town showing it off LoL

If you want a rough guide, multiply your monthly miles by around 30 pence per mile - I.E 1,000 miles a month = £300.

Out of interest, I monitored my mileage and fuel consumption over about 600 motorway miles last month and returned just over 22.4MPG - was quite impressed at that
