I hate things like this. Someone just gouged a 6" line along my wheel fender... not just scraped the paint off, the gouge is textured! I hope I can avoid having to have the whole bumper sanded down and re-painted, although I guess if it comes to that I can look into filling in the reflector holes.
The worst part is, whenever I come out to my car to discover a fresh new door ding or whatever, I have an all-consuming desire to destroy every car within a 10' radius of mine in retaliation, even though I know the culprit is likely long gone. No use worrying about it anymore, I just made my comprehensive deductible $0 and if anything happens, I get them to fix it. I think we all need to invest in this South African flamethrower alarm kit, and just leave the flames on any time we park the car. |

Gouge
Man! That's just horrible. It's for that reason I park very far and away from everybody when I go to the mall. GL on the repair.

The OP said he woke up to this. So it must have been parked overnight in city streets.
No doubt that city street parking overnight is at the highest risk exposure for such cowardly acts. |

I think this is great advice. A good dashcam is about the same price as the car cover
