I have an '09 built in September, 2008 (delivered to West Coast November 7, 2008). Arrived with 5 miles...now has 4954 miles. I'm hoping to break 5K miles before the warranty runs out. I never take it out in the rain and I live in Oregon...hence very, very very low miles. Even the underside is still spotless after almost 4 years.

Can anyone beat that?...he he. I need to get out more. With 2 other new vehicles and lots of traveling since retiring, the M3 has become a garage queen...sigh. Someone will someday get a beautiful car.

Wow, 170,000km! Now that's enjoying the M! Wish I get to drive mine more often. I work from home so its hard to add mileage. Just need to take the long scenic road every time I need to get eggs and milk

2008 E92 M3 with 15,000 miles Problem free, other than a leaky battery that was replaced. Just getting broken in!

54k miles on my '08. Only major issue was a warranty replacement of my first clutch around 45k. I changed all the fluids at 51k miles and have my fingers crossed that I don't have any issues for a while. Despite the fact that it wasn't intended to be, the car is my daily driver.

25,000 mi on my '08 M3. the only issue if the motherf@ck!ing oil cap- the thing leaks [i actually took it to BMW while still under warranty and they refused to replace the cap with an '09 or later version - apparently, in their estimation, the cap was not in fact defective - it was simply a matter of "allowing the rubber seal to fuse to the neck."] whatever. it still leaks.

is the updated cap available online somewhere? i should just buy it myself.

otherwise, it runs perfectly. i like to think that the '08s were built a little more TLC that the later models - the car has survived the sh!t roads of NYC and LA without producing a single rattle, creak, or bell. still solid as a rock

my 08 has 37k miles,i got it 4/12

the 6mt transmission was replaced 5/12 after i called attention to a rough 1-2 shift.thankfully this was under warranty.the mechanic said this trans is quite tough, and thought someone before me must have missed a shift.

i have full records, and other than that, the car has been trouble-free.

Do you mean that it was hard to get it into second? Or do you mean the transition between the two gears was just rocky. I only ask because early in the morning after start up, my first to second is fine, but after its in gear, the car is a tad rocky for a few seconds. Maybe I'm just half asleep and not driving correctly at that point

I just bought an 08 at 12k miles, i don't belong in this thread, but I see a lot of minor issues are happening at low miles. I'm no longer under warranty.

i would say more that it was rocky.it would go into second.i had read here on the forum that the 1-2 shift was sometimes rough, but asked to have it checked out to see if there was a problem,or if it was just "normal".i've been driving manual my whole life, and it didn't feel right, but it wasn't that bad.

1-2 shift seems normal to be a little notchy at times. totally normal IMO; the 6mt BMW trans is a great/stout unit

Curious what was the issue with your clutch?

June 2008 build.

51k miles - DCT software updates - no other issues whatsoever. Do not track - but rev in 6-8k rpm range often - engine is bulletproof and truly loves to rev. Best car I've ever owned (in terms of fun and durability). Amazing how you can rev the engine regularly without issues (yet)

So far I don't see any 100k+ cars in this thread. Anybody have any comments on maintenance after 100k?

I consider 100k miles on most other cars still pretty low miles. I'd like to be able to think the same on e90 M3s!

No updates. Tom @ EAS will do it for me next time I'm in his area.

4 track days, 2 willow springs and 2 chuckwalla..

No problems here besides tires.
Recently lowered on HR Sports+ and new PSS tires, Lovin' IT, just like every damn mile I put on her.
