Question Will e92 Get Composition Package Near EOP & Is MCB The New ///M Flagship Color ?

Is MCB the new ///M color? MCB is currently on the x5M, x6M, and is the flagship color for the new upcoming M5.

I can only assume it will be the flagship color for the upcoming M6 as well and leads me to think if this will replace Interlagos Blue in the future?

Also, do you guys think MCB will be available near EOP for e9x?

MCB is an indiv color for the M3 so yes it will be available through EOP of e9x through Indiv program.

As far as replacing another color before the end of the e9x i would highly doubt it. Maybe the next generation but i don't see why they would do it for the EOP on the e9x All the std colors you see available now will remain till the end of the e9x

I am aware MCB is available through individual, but do you think like the e46 having Interlagos blue available near EOP, that the M3 will get a new color as well such as MCB or even LSB?

Will Interlagos blue be discontinued going forward with MCB being the new color for M?

Keep in mind that Interlagos on an E46 was introduced to coincide with the competition package (ZCP) as an exclusive for the ZCP cars. You could not order an E46 in Interlagos unless it had the ZCP package.

The closest thing you see now are the frozen edition colors that are in limited production for the US, but in much more limited numbers than the E46 in Interlagos. And without any performance enhancements.

I don't think they'd make MCB a standard color for the last year of the E9x production...... They'd royally piss off those with paid $$$ for that color through Individual... (and I think those people would have a right to be.)

Extremely likely, yes, and it will replace Le Mans too for that matter. Le Mans has already been succeeded by Estoril II on the non-M side of things.

I don't think they'd have approved all the Individual MCB orders if they were planning to offer it standard later. But who knows. I'd consider it unlikely at this point.

Im pretty sure some people ordered indivudual mineral white and then it became a standard color. that would suck.

Could be. Although I seem to see Brilliant White a lot more than Miineral White as far as Individual orders go.

no. If you look at the official ads, AW is the color for the coupe, SSII is the color for the sedan, JrzB is the color for the vert.

Right now, it is an ///M only color on the X5M and X6M. I didn't know that ///M ever had a flag ship color. I always believed they had 3...light blue, dark blue, and red.

If a color had to be a flagship color, MCB is the right one!

I would be a little upset but production for E90 M3s have ended...so all of the MCB E90s that will ever be made have already been made.

hm i should clarify my second question. since e93 has the composition package, do you think near e9x EOP, it will get this also? If so do you guys think they might add LSB or MCB as paint option?

Entirely possible. Not necessarily likely though, IMHO.

I doubt it. If they do add the Composition package, I'd expect more subdued colors as featured with the E93.

E92 and E93 M3 are still far from their EOP, so there might be a thing or two BMW has up their sleeve.

Best regards,
south

Oh man, all this teasing!

In addition to trying to decide on color, I have to decide if I wait or not....

Yeah, a CSL for the non-US market.
